I want to setup an environment where I can get and put message from a non cluster qm to cluster qm. I am not sure my setting are correct, can someone please help verify,
Here are my enviroment:
QM1, QM2, and QM3 in a cluser enviroment,
QM1 will be my gateway queue manager
Q4 outside cluster environment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CASE 1: put message from non-cluster qm to cluster qm
Q4 has RQ1, xmitQ, and a sender channel.
QM2 has LQ1
QM3 has LQ1
QM1 should have receiver channel
------------------------------------------------------------------------
CASE 2: receive message from cluster qm to non-cluster qm
QM2 has RQ1
QM1(gateway) has xmitQ and sender channel
QM4 has LQ1 and receiver channel
-------------------------------------------------------------------
also, is that true that gateway qm should only contain channels and xmitQ?
Thanks in advance |

Well....
I know it's not just a piece of cake task, I did some writeing on it some time ago:
http://home19.inet.tele.dk/m-invent/cluster_qmb_3.htm
The main essence is to create a special QMGR-ALIAS eg. ANY.CLUSTER on your QM1, as specified on my page. This tells WMQ to resolve the cluster here. And on QM4 have RQMNAME(ANY.CLUSTER) on RQ1...
Byt anyway it's in the material (I hope).
Just my $0.02 _________________ Regards, Jørgen
