Hi,

How can u send files(using refernce messages) between Mqseries client and Mqseries server if they are on 2 different machines.Also how are client connection channels used.?

Using the MQSeries reference message technology requires that the application that sends the message have a local queue manager. If you are using MQSeries client technology, you can not take advantage of reference message headers. Your client application should read fully the file that it wishes to send and put the body of that file as a message directly in the queue.

thanx a lot kolban.

another question i have is how can u use client connection channels with java,bcoz when u mention MQEnvironment.channel it effectively means the server connection channel.

I cud put a message on a queue where my queuemanager and application(java client) are on 2 different machines using the server connection channel..How does client connection channel come into picture in this case.?

The IBM MA88 MQSeries Java support provides a Java series of classes on top of MQSeries. The MQSeries Java model allows an application to connect to a queue manager either locally on the same machine or else as a client to a queue manager on a remote machine. To understand the relationship between MQSeries Java and MQSeries Clients, it is highly beneficial to read the MQSeries Client manual:
