I've just upgraded one of my customers Production systems from MQ 7.0.1.9/MB 7.0.0.4 to MQ 8.0.0.2/IIB 9.0.0.3

Pretty well everything went according to plan apart from a problem with some subscriptions and also for a remote application connecting.

The remote app connects every minute or so and reads any messages that are on its assigned queue.
We are now seeing the following error repeatedly
Code:

7/2/2015 04:47:39 - Process(2896.161) User(wmuser) Program(amqrmppa.exe)
                      Host(ABC-INT02) Installation(Installation1)
                      VRMF(8.0.0.2) QMgr(AABBQM)

AMQ9623: Error inquiring on AUTHINFO object 'DISABLED'.

EXPLANATION:
A channel or channel process has failed to start because reason code 2085 was
returned when an inquire was performed on AUTHINFO object 'DISABLED'.
ACTION:
Look at the MQRC_ values in the WebSphere MQ Application Programming Reference
to determine the meaning of reason code 2085, correct the error, and restart
the failing channel or channel process.

I have a feeling that it is something related to MQ 8 but because this is an upgraded QMGR then the upgrade has set the following QMGR params

AUTHOREV(DISABLED)
CHAD(DISABLED)
CHADEV(DISABLED)
CHLAUTH(DISABLED)
CONNAUTH(DISABLED)

If anyone has any ideas about tracking down the cause (and rectifying it) of this I'd be most gratetful. If it is a problem in the 3rd party code then I will have to grin and bear it because getting it changed at the moment is next to impossible because it is Ramadan in this part of the world.
It would be nice if simply changing one of the above params would solve it. The problem is only happening with this one remote application. All the other SVRCONN Connections are working perfectly.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Arrgghhh!

I should have seen the problem. Far too early in the morning...

The QMGR CONNAUTH param was wrong.

It needs to be set to a valid AUTHINFO object.

Setting it to AABBQM.PW

where AABB.PW is modelled on SYSTEM.DEFAULT.AUTHINFO.IDPWOS and with CHCKCLCNT(OPTIONAL)

solved the problem.

I hope that this solution might help someone else in the future,

Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.

Oh, I wish I was close to there but I'm not. All around this location is sand and rocks. Saudi is only a few miles away. Already 39C outside. Forecast to reach 48C today.

Glad you got it fixed... Let the sweat evaporate at 48 C...
Here we're shooting for the upper 80s F.
