Hi All,

I am new to the WMB.When I was working out some samples for understanding purpose I have got this doubt about the DFDL.
suppose I have five input fields coming from the input csv file (five fields are name, mobile, email, referenceid, address).when I define them in DFDL message model.Suppose let us take mobile field is optional field(for some records they will give mobile value, for some value they will not provide in the input file).FOr the records which doesnot contain the mobile value, after parsing the next element value (i.e email value is assigning to the mobile value).is there any way that for those records which contain mobile value they need to mapped to mobile field in the output xml whereas for those which doesnot contain mobile field should come as blank value under the mobile tag in the output xml(means email value should not be assigned to mobile tag in the output xml.here I am using csv to xml conversion .

Did you set the mobile field as nillable in your DFDL model?

Please provide an example of the input message that causes the problem.
Also, please show the message tree that you are getting, and the message tree that you would like to get.
This is the only way to discuss parsing problems accurately
