Is there any difference why scope of some of the control commands like "dspmq" is different that of "strmqm" or queue manager specific operation ? ( this will help me for automating some actions during failure )

ex: when issued a dspmq - it lists out QM's from all the installations on the system while when we perform a "start/stop" operation on a specific QM with a different installation then it throws error.

There looks to be difference in scope but someone can help me identify the difference.

If you are looking at automating your scripts you will probably need to do the following

Before any action on a qmgr:

Code:
call <path to highest mq env on box>setmqenv -m <qmgrname>

Have fun
