Please define what you mean by 'lab guide', thank you. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Lab guide is nothing but Exercise guide which IBM normally give to their students...I would expect some one in this forum might have already attend the training with IBM and might have got from IBM |

Do you have an available LPAR to 'play' on? And IBM training doesn't give out the course workbooks in electronic format, they're all paper so that people can't just share them out... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Hey, we've saved you from IBM's legal team. I've met them; they hunt in packs.
The significant differences between MQ on z/OS and MQ on anything else are:
- Installation of MQ and creation of a queue manager
- Use of page sets and storage classes for local objects
- Queue sharing groups
All of these are documented in the InfoCenter, and can be profitably experimented with in your test LPAR. If you hit specific issues, there's a mainframe section in this forum. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Determine the things you want to accomplish in test.
Review the documentation that talks about those things.
Think about them.
Run some tests. Examine the results.
Consult the documention. Think about the documentation as related to the results you got.
Repeat. |

These copywright warnings seem to always conveniently leave out the Fair Use clause (although that would not probably apply here, anyway). _________________ Working with MQ since 2010. |

It doesn't. Specifically.
I am not now nor have I ever been a lawyer, but I understand that this is intellectual property sold for profit (i.e. as part of the labs) so it can only be legally distributed to people who've entered into a purchasing contract with IBM (i.e. bought a seat in the training).
These days, a lot of training material is delivered electronically with the candidate's name as a watermark across the page (that grey slanted text Word does). Like I said, hunt in packs. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
