Hi All,

I got a requirement to create a default model queue SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL for my client to monitor queue manager via MQ explorer. MQ version is 5.3 and Platform is Tandem( HP nonstop)

Is it possible to create a queue like this. If I create this model queue,will queue manager treats this queue as default queue or user defined queue. Will this work for accessing queue manager via MQ explorer.

as you are using MQV5.3 not sure about that, as its out of support

V5.3 IS NOT out of support on HP Non-Stop

You will need to create the queue as a QMODEL not a QLOCAL.
