Grail Software Solutions are pleased to announce an update of GSS API Player Starter Edition, Beta Version 0.0.1 to Beta Version 0.0.2.

This is an Eclipseâ„¢ RCP application designed to help educate end-users on IBM Messaging APIs. An example of an end-user could be a developer or tester of a WMQ application.

This beta version of the API Player can be used to perform real-time testing of various calls of the Message Queue Interface (MQI).

This version has the following enhancements:

1. The following API calls have been enabled:
MQBACK
MQBEGIN
MQBUFMH
MQCMIT
MQCRTMH
MQDLTMH
MQDLTMP
MQINQ
MQINQMP
MQMHBUF
MQSET
MQSETMP
MQSTAT
MQSUBRQ

2. Sequence files can be played.
A sequence file (containing a sequence of one or more API calls with their parameters) can be loaded in to the API Player view and played in its entirety or one call at a time. Breakpoints can be set to stop play on selected calls. Play can optionally be stopped if an error or warning occurs. Sequence files can be renamed, deleted and copied.

3. Code snippets can be shown for selected calls.
API calls from the API Results view and API Player view can be selected and their corresponding parameter definitions and API calls can be shown in a separate dialog. The code snippet can be copied to the clipboard. The programming language and colours can be changed using the API Player preferences.

This beta version of GSS API Player can be downloaded from http://www.grailsoftwaresolutions.co.uk/download and will expire after 31st December 2015.
