Hi

SupportPac MA88 provides support for developing MQSeries applications in Java, for MQSeries up to v5.2. WebSphere MQ V5.3 now includes MQSeries classes for Java and JMS. I have two questions about this:

- If I don't have a MQServer, how do I get this functionality? If I have one server, and several clients, do I have to copy the Java files from the server to the client machines? IBM doesn't provides any package like MA88? How do I get the Java support updates? Do I have to get all the server updates?

-Anyone can point me the license of the MQSeries classes for Java and JMS for WebSphere MQ 5.3?

Thanks

PM

The 5.3 client installations also include this functionality. Updates are a normal part of 5.3 (client or server) CSDs.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

if you need more than just the regular updates on the support
pacs page (where ma88 and MQ 5.3 clients are distributed) and
want to open a PMR with IBM support to get a specific problem
fixed, you need to obtain at least a single server license with
passport advantage support subscription.

PMRs for ma88 and MQ client software can only be opened through
a server license.
