Hi all,
I cannot create a broker after installing the MB
While i'm creating broker it's showing the error in Event Viewer like this

Thanks for your response
I checked the services and i stopped and again i started those services,and i tried to create a broker then the same error will occur. |

Which version of java are you running after having run mqsiprofile?
It should be the version coming with the broker. If this is not first in your classpath change it so that you run the broker's java runtime...

I thought that the java version was the rason for this fault but I am having same fault running on ubuntu (appreciate its not supported but plenty have it working apparently) and my jave version is the IBM supplied one so any more ideas anyone??

"Bad major version" when dealing with the MQ Java libraries means that you're using MQ v8 libraries on a machine that only has Java 6 on it.
In the context of broker, it likely means that you have the wrong java on your path, as FJ mentions.
You should use 'which java' from the shell to find out which one is being loaded. It should be the one under your mqsi install path, and not anything else.
Vitor had a similar problem recently, in which the hunting of elephants was discussed. |

I see you have a JRE of 1.6 (I am thinking you are running the MQ Java here). "which java" should tell you exactly which version you are running or from where it is sourced. If your crtmqenv is setting this, make sure you create the correct command environment for the broker and set the broker's java first on the path.
You should be running the broker's java and that is version 1.7 IIRC:

There was weird magic in the command shells, which resulted in Unix going all Obi-Wan:
