OK, So I tried again playing with RFHUtil and using the Set Conn Id option to set a user and password. No matter what I put there it is still trying to connect AND GET from the queue as my windows id. What am I doing wrong? |
Using non java tools this is a feature. The user being passed will be the user you're logged in as. For Windows 8 you can pass a different authentication user, but that user is only used for authentication not for authorization... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

JMS is supposed to work with JAAS. Open a PMR... |
PMR came back with the correct answer, at least for JMS. Still working on figuring out BizTalk MQSC and RTHUtil.

Hi Justin,
So from what you have posted Ibelieve you are trying to
passa userid from a WAS JMS client to MQ via a jndi
configured connection factory. Please let me know if I have
tht correct.
If so then there is a link that will really help here:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21580097
The key bit that I find that trios up folks is that for the
configured userid in the 'authentication alias' to be flowed
to MQ, you have to be using indirect jndi lookups.
.
Please take a moment to review but in summary if no
MCAUSER is configured on the MQ svrconn channel you should
be able to create a J2C auth alias if you are using indirect
lookups if the res_auth property (resource reference) in the
deployment descriptor is set to CONTAINER.
Look for the section titled
"Authentication Aliases and indirect lookups".
Let me know if you have any questions.
