Hi,

I am not able to start the queue manager. Getting the below error.

* Command: strmqm EENT421P
****************************************
AMQ8041: The queue manager cannot be restarted or deleted because processes,
that were previously connected, are still running.
AMQ7018: The queue manager operation cannot be completed.
exitvalue = 24


Could some one please help.

Fairly self explanatory.

An application that was connected to the Queue Manager still has a handle to one of the MQ processes.

If you find that app and stop it then the QMGR will start.

Also, it might be worth looking at the code of that app to see if it handles properly the QMGR Quiescing error messages that get sent to apps that have a read outstanding when a qmgr is shut down.

Location: US: west coast, almost. Otherwise, enroute.

Try using Windows process manager or Unix ps command to identify processes for this qmgr.

Did the qmgr end normally?
