We know that Beta version was out and they shared the updates over IIB 10 Info Center URL

Is your any application release stuck because of that ?
Or any business decision is pending ?

By going through IBM Interconnect 2015 sessions preview, one of the session says MQ is no longer a prerequisite product to work with IIB which is one of the new features of IIB v10 Open Beta. so there might be a chance!!!

You still need MQ for certain nodes to work. The MQ nodes obviously but also some that use MQ internally.

Personally, I see the move away from MQ as not being a good idea, for transactional integrity reasons.

We are seeing the end of the ACID transaction era (which IBM Hursley used to personify) and in its place we have the hit-or-miss-maybe-it-got-there-maybe-it-didnt era. So many people in IT now do not even understand what a transaction is (or should be).

There are recent CS Grads who don't have a clue what Two-phase-commit is. (plus DB normalisation and a host of other things that many of us just take for granted)
Ok, so I didn't when I graduates but I was a Mech Eng Grad and that was in 1975.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

I was wondering when they'd get rid of those pesky transactions.

Since IBM hasn't officially announced a release date, any date you get here is as reliable as can be expected from a bunch of yahoos on the internet.

Tell them the guy with the pipe says he thinks it might be released February 30th.

I've been trying the latest Openbeta and there are still (IMHO) lots of things that need sorting out before I would consider it ready for FCS.

(e.g. HTTP nodes still depend upon MQ)

Also, given that many of us are still not runnnig IIB v9.0.0.2 then rushing into IIB 10 would be a distraction.

At the moment my only reason for moving to V10 is the ability of MQInput Nodes to read from remote Queues.

Come on IBM slow down these releases and let us catch up. I have 6 clients (on four continents) still on V7 and it will be a stretch to get them off that before support ends in September.
