We are trying to establish a connection from Dell Boomi to WMQ ver 8 and getting the following exception.

Caused by: com.ibm.msg.client.jms.DetailedJMSSecurityException: JMSWMQ2013: The security authentication was not valid that was supplied for QueueManager 'QM3' with connection mode 'Client' and host name '172.24.48.55(1417)'.
Please check if the supplied username and password are correct on the QueueManager to which you are connecting.

You are using V8. So using the client connection mode, you HAVE TO pass a user / password on your connection.
If you want to avoid this you will need to create an alternate connauth object and set the qmgr to use it.

What happens if you click that "use authentication" checkbox in the boomi config?
