As has been said there are precompiled versions of the saveqmgr binary included in the support pack. Why didn't you try to use that? _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
You should use the Windows binary for saveqmgrc from your desktop and use an MQ Client connection to the queue manager you want to back up.
If you *really* *really* want to compile saveqmgr on the linux machine, you should use the version of GCC that is appropriate for the level of the linux OS you are running (and *no*, I *do not* know what version that is).
You should also double-check the compiler options in the makefile.linux against the v6 documentation for compiling a C program on Linux.
