i am trying to connect my message broker to SQL server 2010 but i dont know how.

currently my broker is connected to DB2 and i need to connect to SQL server on a remote machine

With ODBC.

Oddly, you connect to SQL Server in the same way you connect to DB2, Oracle and the rest.

i did try
stopping the broker
mqsisetdbparams BROKERNAME -n DBNAME -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD
starting the broker

and when i started testing no message were insert into SQL server

Did you try all the other steps needed to establish an ODBC connection? When you tested the ODBC connection with mqsicvp what was the result?

And the user trace showed what when the insert was performed?

i found the issue as the ESB server did not have the SQL drivers and our MW team fixed it
