You mean like databases, operating-system, ... that kind of software?

No not really concerned about OS or DBMS. Was looking to see if anyone knew if the messaging was WMQ in conjunction with ESB.

Yip did google however results were inconclusive hence my post to this illustrious forum

Ah, you are interested in messaging software used in banking. Thanks for clarifying.

Did you google 'messaging+banking'? If so, what were the results?

Re 'messaging+banking' did you?

Bruce if you don't know anything about ACI just fess up and stop wasting my time.

I work for a fledgling bank and using ACI's offering has been floated around in order for us to move away from being an agency bank.

I would welcome constructive comments as all I seek is some background as I alluded to in previous post.

Thanks

Windy

It seems that you have a much better source of information than random strangers on the internet.

Who might also be reluctant to share what could very well be confidential information with Random Strangers On the Internet.

Perhaps you should talk to your connections at ACI and see if they can give you better answers.

Also, it will not in general be very useful for you to be snarky or angry with people who are really trying to help you, even if you don't think they are.

Yet you're wasting our time asking for possibly confidential information on a financial institution like you're the IT department of the Russian Mafia.

So why are you asking a lot of people who may a) work for the Russian mafia b) lie a lot or c) just guess about their topology? Why would a fledgling bank care what they use as a backbone when what you should really be interested in is what functions and SLA they claim they're providing? Surely how they provide it is a) their business & b) something your bank is paying them to worry about. So why are you worrying?

Then ask the vendor.
