I'm getting ready to evaluate Integration Bus 9.0 and notice that my download ZIP (for Linux) contains Websphere MQ 7.5.0.3. However, Websphere MQ 8.0 is already installed on my target platform (CentOS 64 on Oracle Virtual Box). I'm wondering if there may be problems ahead with using MQ 8 with IB 9 and whether I can opt out of the MQ 7.5.0.3 installation. |

I would install WMQ 7.5.0.3. I don't believe IIB9 has been certified with MQ8 yet. :innnocent: _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

It certainly doesn't show up as a supported version. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I have a test rig with MQ8.0.0.0 and IIB 9.0.0.2 running in a Windows Server 2012-R2 MSCS cluster.
This isn't formally supported and should not be used in production.
I would hazard at a guess that 9.0.0.3 will be supported on MQ 8 but this may not be true and it might be that we have to wait for the release of IIB-Next for MQ 8 support. Only IBM can tell us. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Well, I mean.
The v10 beta is an open beta. And the public KC includes info on it.
So that would tell you if v10 includes support for MQ v8. And what kind. |

But it is a Beta release.
That means that support and or features may well be changed/removed/added before the final release. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Don't know where you got IIB (non industry specific)
I plugged in IIB and only got the industry specific versions. No general version... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Search for "Broker"....its smart enough to bring up the WMB and IIB versions in the search results, including plain IIB Integration Bus. _________________ Peter Potkay
