Hi everyone,
Has anyone worked on EDIFACT CODECO message types. I need to create a message set for CODECO D:95B. I checked a sample for EDIFact in toolkit. It has version D:96A. I don't know difference between D:95B and D:96A. Can anyone help me please...
Thanks, |

Don't use a message set for this - DFDL will be a lot simpler to work with. _________________ Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away, and you have their shoes too. |

CODECO is the Container gate-in/gate-out report message from EDIFACT. It is part of the Transport category of messages. There is currently no publicly available DFDL schema for Transport messages (just Supply Chain messages), but I have DFDL schema for D96A Transport messages that I can send you.
There might be some differences between D95B and D96A, so if the D96A schemas do not work, I can generate you D95B but it will take a little longer.
Please let me know whether your EDIFACT messages use syntax level 3 or syntax level 4. If you don't know I will assume 3.
Please read the schema prologs for the T&C for these schemas.
If you want me to do this, let me know your email address. |

Ok
Open TWO browsers and goto http://www.truugo.com/edifact in both.
Select the message Numbers that you are interested in (D96A and D95B)
THEN from the list of message types look at the same type in ech browser.
Looking at (for example) COMDIS, I can't see much difference at all between the two. However, I have only compared a couple of message types.
There is even a framework you can download (on a trial basis) from http://www.edidev.com/ediregis.htm _________________ WMQ User since 1999

The above is a good start but you need to drill down into every segment and compare their contents to get the complete comparison. |

EDIFACT typically have 2 releases per year, A and B. So D95B is the 2nd release from 1995, D96A is the 1st release from 1996. If the CODECO message did not change in that period, then the definitions will be exactly the same. |

Along with all sorts of other interesting emails once the web spiders spot the email address!
@sasad - unless you enjoy spam, it's not a good idea to post your email address in clear on a public forum. Obfuscate it like:
