| I would like to install MQFTE 7.5.0.3 on top of MQ client, but I don't know what installation media to use. MQ 7.5.0.3 client installation media doesn't contain fte. So should I install MQ client and fte from MQ server installation media? |

| Yes, installing mqfte 7.5 on top of an MQ client can be done from the server installation media. It seems to be the only way. |

You mean you had to use the server media to install the client, and then you could install FTE on top of it?
Or that you had to use the server media to install FTE, but it didn't matter how you installed the client?
The first one is more likely in my view. |

As far as I know there is no other installation media for an MFT V 7.5 agent than MQ Server installation media.
I used it to upgrade MQ client from 7.5.0.1 to 7.5.0.2 and simultaneusly install MFT. That did not upgrade or uninstall my existing MFT 7.0.4, so I uninstalled it afterwards.
The next step will be to use MQ Server 7.5 FP 3 media to upgrade both MQ client and MFT.
I suppose if my client had already been 7.5.0.3 I might have needed to uninstall it to be able to install MFT 7.5.0.2. But I'm not sure. |

afaik there is no Agent install Media, just the Server media with Agent option.
The MQ FT Agents unlike MQ Clients are not free.
