I am attempting to use the C MQI method MQCMD_INQUIRE_AUTH_RECS to determine an entity's authorities for various objects. The method works fine for non-qmgr objects - queues, channels, listeners, etc.
The problem is using it to retrieve authorities for the queue manager itself. InfoCenter says,
"Do not specify ProfileName if the value of ObjectType is MQOT_Q_MGR."
I take this to mean, omit the MQCACF_AUTH_PROFILE_NAME when specifying a value of MQOT_Q_MGR for MQIACF_OBJECT_TYPE.
However, doing so results in a reason of MQRCCF_CFST_CONFLICTING_PARM on WMQ 7.0.1 and MQRCCF_PROFILE_NAME_MISSING on WMQ 8.0.
If I specify the queue manager name in the MQCACF_AUTH_PROFILE_NAME, both WMQ 7.0.1 and 8.0 respond with MQRCCF_NONE_FOUND.
Any thoughts on what else to try, or how to troubleshoot this? |
