I have a damaged queue manager & would like to blow it away & re-create it but it is referenced within a broker. Can I stop the broker & queue manager, then blow away/ re-create the QM, then re-start the broker? Or do I have to blow away the broker also?
Thanks. |

Do you have the backup of your queue manager objects? If so, then just delete and re-create your queue manager ONLY and then restore all MQ objects from backup. This should work fine.
If you don't have a backup then I guess you need to delete and re-crate the broker and queue manager. Make sure you follow the proper steps to delete the broker, like deleting the broker reference from config mgr, etc. _________________ Kiran

No back-up of the queue manage objects available. Blew away QM & re-built but of course it was missing the system.broker.* message queues, so the broker complained when I tried to re-start. Going to blow the broker & qm away & re-build .... Thanks. |
