Lets hope that's an omission on IBM's part! I cant believe they would change the product compatibility between fixpack versions. |

Earlier v9 required a minimum of v7.5.
To remove this dependency, i assume that they changed Prerequisite Minimum to 7.1.
Hence i assume MQ 7.5 is still compatible with 9002 broker |

yes, that seems logical, however the 9.0.0.2 upgrade is blocked here because of what's given on the IBM site (there is a support call created now)
From the 9.0.0.1 prerequisites section:
From the 9.0.0.2 prerequisites section:

I read that completely differently. To me, this is saying that for 9.0.0.0 & 9.0.0.1 WMQv7.5 is the minimum level but if you use 9.0.0.2 then the minimum level drops to WMQv7.1, i.e. the FP2 for IIBv9 removes the dependency on WMQv7.5 features.
I'll be interested in the results of the support call.
For the record and not that this is in any way official or influences the support position, we have IIBv9.0.0.1 (running on WMQv7.5.0.3) where we have applied 9.0.0.2 and have not noticed any ill effects in our preliminary testing. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Also, "minimum" means "lowest version that is supported, everything higher is supported".
It doesn't mean "exactly this version is supported". |
