Capitalware would like to announce MQ Technical Conference v2.0.1.4 (MQTC). MQTC is an event that will educate attendees on current practices, methodologies, administration, problem determination, security best practices and technology trends for IBM's WebSphere MQ. MQTC will offer 70 sessions that are designed to enhance the skills of IT professionals who are using IBM's WebSphere MQ on AIX, HP-UX, IBM i (OS/400), Linux, Solaris, Windows and z/OS. Since we have 5 session rooms at MQTC, there will be 5 concurrent MQ sessions at any given time.
MQTC is the largest conference in the world solely dedicated to IBM's WebSphere MQ.

Glad to hear it. I was there last year but unfortunately this year there were just too many things in the way that stopped me getting there - hopefully not the same for MQTC V2.0.1.5.

I believe the conference went well this year except Kalahari catering had a few hiccups that they need to work on for the next conference.
For those that were not at MQTC v2.0.1.4, during my opening remarks, I said that MQTC v2.0.1.5 will be held on September 28th to 30th, 2015 at Kalahari Resorts.

I want to send a vote of thanks to Roger for organising an execellent event. most of the sessions were really great (especially those from Morag and the Hursley team.... ) but a few were very lightweight for the level of skill of many of those present.
Thanks to all the presenters and attendees for making a great 3 days.
Perhaps we could have a 'gotchas' session next year?

Thanks, as well, to Roger and his team (although a lot of his team did look like his family  ) for organizing the conference. As I can imagine, that must have been a lot of work for him and his team (family included), and I really appreciate the effort that was given to allow the conference to happen!
The sessions were very good, and I learned a lot about v8 and MQ, in general. I did not feel any of the sessions were lightweight, but I also have about 4 years of experience with MQ. That is one of the challenges of a conference, meeting the needs of all the different skill levels of the attendees. Maybe next year, some of the more experienced non-IBMers can do a session for the less experienced? I know I would appreciate that.
Also, that picture of the gorilla in Morag's post reminded me of the very large lion statues scattered about the convention center. Very imposing and intimidating, especially when you are lumbering around the corridors in the early morning. I thought one of them had his eye on me for breakfast. |

That did not come out right. Let me try again.
Maybe next year, some of the more experienced non-IBMers could do an advanced session. As someone who is less experienced with MQ, I would still appreciate and would like to attend a session like that. |
