All,
I was working on the scheduling for MQ Technical Conference v2.0.1.4 (MQTC) and I have a problem. It’s a little embarrassing but I have far more sessions than actual timeslots!!
I was originally scheduling for 70 technical sessions and 10-15 vendor sessions but now, we will have 85 technical sessions and 10-15 vendor sessions. Each technical session will be 60 minutes and the vendor sessions will be 45 minutes. There will be breaks between sessions, so that people can relax, get a coffee/tea and not be rushing around.
In case you did not read my announcement, IBM MQ Labs in Hursley, UK will be sending 4 speakers (Mark Taylor, Morag Hughson, Dave Ware & Matthew Whitehead) to MQTC v2.0.1.4. We now have a total of 17 speakers covering a wide-range of MQ related topics.
MQTC is the largest conference in the world solely dedicated to IBM MQ (aka WebSphere MQ/MQSeries).
For more information, please go to: http://www.mqtechconference.com
Regards,
Roger Lacroix

Thanks for the update Roger.
It would be nice to know if the sessions presented by the Hursley team that have the same title as the ones to be presented next week at the User Group meeting in Hursley will be have the same content.
Then those of us who are attending both events might find planning what sessions to attend will be a bit easier. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

Suspect it's easiest to just ask the presenters when you see them next week... Roger probably doesn't know. |

They may not know if the content will change between next week and the end of Sept until .....well, September? _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Roger won't know until the speakers do.

Hi,
The speakers submit a session title & session description to me and I either approve or or not. I do not create or review the content of the presentation before it is given. For technical sessions, I trust that the speakers will stick to technical content and not include sales/marketing related stuff.
As Jeff suggested, your best bet would be to ask the Hursley speakers if the content will be the same or not.
