Hello,
Need expert advice!
I've this requirement where I have to make changes to a subflow developed in 6.1 and deploy that to Broker 8. Since it is in 6.1 it was defined as .msgflow and this subflow is referenced in multiple parent flows and I want all the parent flows to take advantage of the changes.
I see two options -
1)All the parent flows have to be rebuilt from 6.1 toolkit and redeployed to 8
2)Convert this subflow from .msgflow to .subflow in a 8 toolkit but I believe I still have to update all parent flows to reference the new .subflow and redeploy all of them.
In either way I assume all parent flows have to be redeployed and it is better to go with second option above as this would allow us to release just the subflow going forward.
Am I right in my assumptions?
I did read through Info center regarding the migrating path from 6.1 to 8 and did not find any other options. Please let me know if there is a better solution to meet my requirement.
Thanks, |
