If on v7, use the message set editor and message definition file editor to create your model. Some users find it easier to create a copybook to describe their data, but that only works if your data can be described by a copybook.
Alternatively, you could create an xsd to describe the logical structure of your data ( use any xsd editor ). Then you could import the xsd. But you would still need to use the message set editor to add a physical format and then set the properties for every structure and field in the xsd ( using the message definition file editor ).
If on v8 or IIB v9 then use DFDL. The modelling experience is a *lot* easier. _________________ Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away, and you have their shoes too. |
