When service trace is turned on – there is a size parameter for the raw trace data capture file – but where in the AIX (or other UNIX) file system is this file actually created (and what is the file name)?

mqsichangetrace <broker>-t -e <egname> -l debug -r -c 100000

Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.

/var/mqsi/common/log is where the the binary logs are created.

From a quick look it looks like *userTrace.bin.* are the usertrace one, and *trace.bin.* are the service trace ones.

Does it wrap around (re-use) the trace files, or stop tracing when the size limit is reached?
