Hi,
We are planning to upgrade our IBM MQ server to 7.x version from 6.0. And there are many JMS\Java clients communicating with this server. I would like to know the complete risks involved in this. Compatibility, applications' break?, Parameter\Arguments change, deprecation etc.,

You have to be much more specific than just 7.x

Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

1. Test it.
2. Fix any issues, and repeat 1-2 until finished.
3. Deploy it.
After 1, you will know the answers to your questions. Address them all before moving to 3. No-one else can answer your questions except you, in your environment. One piece of advice though: use the latest MQ code which has the most fixes. |
