Hi,

I read this post. The link provided here is not opening. Can someone help me for this issue? We are using MQ 7.5.0.2 version (64 bit) linux server and the kernel parameters set here is as below . There is enough space in the file system and memory is fine.

kernel.shmmni = 4096
kernel.shmall = 2097152
kernel.shmmax = 268435456
kernel.sem = 500 256000 250 1024
fs.file-max = 524288

We used the same parameter in QA and there is no issue. But here there is issue in creation of queue manager and I am unable to get any clue.

Quote:

EXPLANATION:
1) A user has inadvertently terminated the process. 2) The system is low on
resources. Some operating systems terminate processes to free resources. If
your system is low on resources, it is possible it has terminated the process
so that a new process can be created.
ACTION:
WebSphere MQ will stop all MQ processes. Inform your systems administrator.
When the problem is rectified WebSphere MQ can be restarted.

I'm not surprised - this post (which I've split you from) is 7 years old and refers to WMQv6.0.0.0!!!

So what exactly happens when you try to create the queue manager? Post your messages, not some 7 year old ones.

Hi,

Thanks for the separate thread. When I tried creating the queue manager, I am getting error like MQ default objects not created and refer to AMQ*.log. And the description in error log is the one i have captured and quoted.

Hi Vitor,

There was a change in UID of the mqm user after MQ installation and hence we were unable to create/start the queue manager. MQ logs actually mislead us. Hence we reinstalled MQ and it worked.

I would like to know the exact process to identify the errors at the first sight. If you provide your valuable input then it would really helpful.

If the logs are not helpful then the FDC file is your next port of call.
