Ask your sys progs how they verify how many CICS & DB2 sub systems they have active. Use the same method for queue managers. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Are you asking what is the maximum number of qmgrs, DB2's and CICS's that be active in a single z/OS LPAR instance? Dozens or hundreds are possible, depending on how well the z/hardware is provisioned.
Most z/ shops will limit the theoretical maximum number to something quite small to reduce the impact of an outage. This is usually done by application type or user-community served. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Probably a good place to start is iefssn in sys1.parmlib, or a display ssi,all done at the master console or Tso sdsf ...
