Hello Friends
Is Workligh adapter is required for WMB and Mobile communication over REST/SOAP communication?
I want to develop a WMB Service to have a support on Mobile by Web services. When I develop on WMB Server, Do I really need Worklight adapter? or any Mobile can connect WMB Webservice URL by its own way?
Please let me know.

Hi, WMB v8 and IIB v9 provides few patterns for integrating IIB(WMB) with WorkLight. Please go through the built-in patterns to understand better. |

Thanks for your reply.. Yes I know but when you have webservices ( SOAP / JSON ) why do we need Worklight? Even without worklight.. any one can connect the service. Am I right? Cos I am seeing all the tutorials based on Worklight.. To access WMB service required to integrate wtih Worklight or not? _________________ Thanks and Regards

It's possible to reach any URL from a mobile device as you say. There are good and sufficient reasons why you'd want to use Worklight as an intermediary. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Thank you for your reply Vitor..
I dont want to use Worklight and dont want to tide up with Worklight.. Since I am seeing all the samples with Worklight adapter.. I raised this question and read other documents about Mobile SOA Access.. All are able to access SOA With their own way.. So Worklight adapter is not mandatory to talk to WMB SOA Services? right? _________________ Thanks and Regards

There's nothing particular about a WMB SOA Service, and a mobile device connecting to one.
There is a reason IBM produce Worklight. If you feel it's better / cheaper / easier to invent your own wheel then go in peace with your decision. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
