Hi,
I am using IBM WMB V8.0.
I am connecting to SAP System using SAP Inbound Adapter to receive messages from SAP.
I am facing the below issue,
ERROR Gateway not connected to local R/3
TIME Mon Mar 10 12:17:57 2014
RELEASE 720
COMPONENT SAP-Gateway
VERSION 2
RC 726
MODULE gwr3cpic.c
LINE 5593
COUNTER 6
My connection details looks like below,
Connection parameters: TYPE=A DEST=TAD.665264 ASHOST=ljtadascs SYSNR=01 PCS=1 CODEPAGE=1100
As per my SAP contacts, they are suggesting that the TYPE should be 'R'. Is it possible to change the type to R instead of A.
I searched in the configurable property, i am not able to find the parameter TYPE.
Thanks in Advance.

Type R means registered connection. So that your SAP system can find its way to your adapter... Look up in the adapter where you set up the information for a registered connection. And you need 2 types of connection concurrently... one of type A to be able to reach the SAP Host and one of type R for the SAP host to reach you... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
While creating Adapter, In Adapter Style Section I selected: Inbound. Inbound adapters allow data to be passed from the EIS system to the Message Broker.
After entering the below Connection Configuration details in the next Page,
Host name
System number
Client
Language code
Code page
User name
Password
SAP interface name: ALE pass-through IDoc
I am getting the below error,
The resource adapter named 'IBM WebSphere Adapter for SAP Software' returned the following error: 'Failure in connection to EIS Exception in connecting to SAP:Exception in connecting to SAP:Connect from SAP gateway to RFC server failed
Connection parameters: TYPE=A DEST=500ALEREMOTE.652510 ASHOST=ljtadascs SYSNR=01 PCS=1 CODEPAGE=1100
LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host ljtadascs.baplc.com / sapgw01

I don't see any property to set it as Type R. It seems to be picking TYPE=A automatically !
These are the following options, I was able to find for SAP Connection,
SAPConnection Configurable Service
applicationServerHost
assuredOnceDelivery
connectionidleTimeout
gatewayHost
gatewayService
loadBalanacing
logonGroup
MessageServerHost
numberOfListeners
retryConnectionOnStartup
retryInterval
retryLimit
RCFTraceLevel
RFCTracePath
RFCTraceOn
rfcProgramID
SAPSystemID
sharedTidStoreClientDefinitionFile
sharedTidStoreQmgr
systemNumber |

You need to fill in an RFCprogram ID. This is a "dummy" value that registers with SAP and allows your connection to be of type R.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
