Queues can be opened output, and for input exclusive, or input shared. Think of what happens with a transmission queue, so what does that tell you? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

If you have large numbers of clients then it may be very sensible to have them share (to some extent) their reply queue rather than give them all their own queue. Of course having them all share a single queue is probably not a good idea though so you need to come up with some sort of striping algorithm.
Cheers,

Even on a one-way data feed, having multiple clients accessing the same queue will effectively provide a form of load-balancing and increase reliability (assuming they process each message before getting another one). _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |
