hello everyone
i am new in WMQ as well as this forum.while reading i got 2 question on logging.
question 1:while working on command console how to know the logging type of a queue manager?
question 2:how to change the primary and secondary log size in command console in an existing queue manager?

Find the qm.ini file that goes with your Qmgr and look at the stanzas. If this is Windows, use the amqmdain command (read the Info Center on how).

Well, the "size" of the log files is determined on creation of the Qmgr and cannot be changed (if you don't know what size to make it then use 16384). The number of the log files can be changed by updating the corresponding stanza in the qm.ini file. Again, if this is Windows use the amqmdain command.

Read this about the stanzas in the qm.ini file.

I'd qualify that and say, it depends on which version of WMQ is being used as a lot of stuff that used to be in the Registry has now moved out to mqs.ini and qm.ini files.
