Hello All,
I am on broker version 8001 on windows 64 2008 and was trying to read arabic data from a sybase database from a message flow [using Datadirect sybase driver] starting with a timeout notification node. Had read through the posts with similar issue and had tried changing the queuemanager CCSID to 1208.
But still the data is being read as junk like ÚÒÃÒà ÇáÚãÃá¡ . A passthru statement is being used to read the data.
If i change the OS system locale to Arabic it works fine, which i am sure is not the correct way. Please help to understand what i have missed. |

How do know? What program are you using to view the data?
It is quite common for people to think that their character data has been wrongly decoded, but often it is their text viewer that is decoding the characters incorrectly. _________________ Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. Hello kimbert,
I have checked it as below
1. Debugging via Toolkit
2. Writing to file using trace node
3. HTTPRequest with arabic\english as querystring (with QueryStringCCSID as 1208). The receiving application also got junk.
The default QM CCSID was 437, which i changed to 1208 but with no effect. After switching to arabic locale the QM CCSID is 1256 (Arabic) and it works fine. |
