Hi Folks,

I have been exploring Workload Management feature in IIB . WLM has a Maximum message rate property which can be used to limit the number of messages processed by flow per second . This feature works fine for File protocol as provided by IIB sample in tutorials . But can we set the Max message rate on any message flow which has MQ / synchronous web service where number of messages picked by the flow is difficult to control . I tried doing this for a message flow with MQ input node which pics up many messages within fraction of second . Can any body help me ?

Please provide your thoughts .

Yes, it should work for any transport, as far as I know.

You say you tried it. What happened?

Thanks for the reply .

I have tried with a message flow as follows


MQInput Node --> Compute Node --> MQOutut Node

Posted some 100 messages on input queue . Maximum Message Rate set on flow was 10 . But flow processed all messages within few seconds . Should message flow pick 10 messages per sec . Is my understanding correct ?
