How can I backup my MQ FTE configuration on a daily basis.
I know for MQ queue manager I can use saveqmgr script
but for MQ FTE how i can backup the entire configuration(monitors, transfer templates etc...)?
I want to set up a backup where the complete FTE configuration is backed up daily |

Where are such objects stored? _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition does not provide a tool to take backups of your configuration directory.
You could write a tool yourselves in your favourite programming language or manually take a zip of the dir for example.
Your configuration directory is wherever you specified it when you installed / configured WebSphere MQ FTE for first use. For example:
C:\ProgramData\IBM\WMQFTE
For resource monitors, I suggest you use the fteCreateMonitor command with the -ox parameter to exports your resource monitor configuration to an XML file that you can then take a backup of. |
