Hi all,

when i am trying to configure the MQSI Configuration manager i am getting the following error.

8078E: problem was encountered while attempting the configuration manager. The operation was not completed successfully.
check messages in the system log for related errors and retry the operation if the problem still occurs contact the IBM
Support center.

I have quick question "will MQSI and all its components work perfectly on Windows 2000 server or do you suggest me to go with WindowsNT being a learner.?"

Can some one suggest me how to prepare for the MQSeries certification and for which one should i go first.

Running MQSI on Windows 2000 server or NT isn't going to affect your learning experience - unless you are more comfortable with the way the Windows system (and not the MQSI system) works on NT than on 2000.

You should really be reveiwing the Installation manual and the Introduction and Planning guide to get started with MQSI. It may seem too much work, but particularly if you are a beginner it would be better to read at least one of these two books COMPLETELY before you start working with the software. Then, once you have successfully completed the installation and setup, I would recommend reading the redbook "Developing Solutions with Websphere MQSeries Integrator".

As to your specific error, you don't provide enough information for debugging. As the error message you reported suggests, you should read the system log to see what the actual error is. Then, you should probably post a question about that to the WMQI/MQSI forum here for particular help.
