Have you thought about using
dis ql(*) curdepth where (pageset eq 7)?
Have fun |
How about low (normal) depth, but really LARGE messages? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

You're supposed to have a least an idea of the message sizes...
But a combination of the Page set and the usage of the buffer pool should be able to pinpoint you to the culprit... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

100 PSIDs (00-99) are possible, messages can be directed to different msgclass(es) and pagesets based on size, depth, longevity, etc.. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Sure but I have never seen a specific queue spanning multiple PSIDs... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

An individual queue maps to a single pageset through the stgclass attribute.
I've seen more than a few z/OS shops that stick with a small number of stgclasses, partially due to lack of understanding the applications. They miss a wonderful tuning opportunity. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
