I am using message broker v7.0 in Linux and perform administration work via MQ explorer UI in windows.

I found this code from the Administration Log in Message broker plug-in everytime after something deployed to execution group.

BIP2884I: The resource 'JAR' of type 'jar' was redeployed to the execution group 'EG' on broker 'mqbroker'

May I know where can i find equivalent information in the linux system? I looked up /opt/mqsi and /var/mqsi but still could not find it.

Thanks very much.

Perhaps it is where all such data goes on a Unix/Linux system (unless it has been configured differently) and that is the syslog.

/var/log/

might be a good place to start BUT if you are a complete novice to the *IX world please don't go messing with stuff.

I searched /var/log/messages but not there. Unfortunatesly I am not able to view all other logs.

Anyhow, thanks Davies.

That may not be where your sys admins have configured the messages to come out; the syslog daemon is within their remit.

Ask them. Also ask if they're suppressing info messages in the log, which again they have the ability to do.

mqsme , curiously I've observed that specifically that message (BIP2884I) is not being printed on the syslog, only in the Administration log of the MBExplorer. You could use a java program with the CMP API to obtain the same messages of the MBExplorer.
