MA96, mqbrw in particular, refuses to browse a queue. It replies back to me that MQ is not installed or it can't find the libraries. I'm running on a x86-64 server and several places in the documentation it says that it needs 32-bit libs.
Can I just install the 32 bit version on another linux host and copy its /opt/mqm/lib/* to /opt/mqm/lib32 on the 64 bit host and it work (with the requisite -L /opt/mqm/lib32 on the cmd-line)?
If not -- is this supportpac totally unavailable to me then? |

Have you tried contacting the author of the support pack?
Are you using the latest version of the support pack? It was updated in June this year. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

I expect the reason for the 32 bit libs is eclipse! So no you cannot do what you propose. However I see that the support pack is also for AIX and other Linux/Unix dists... so I wonder... may be it is the X11 libs...
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

1) Is MQ actually installed on that server?
2) If this is WMQ v7.1 or higher, did you run (as root):
Code: |
/opt/mqm/bin/setmqinst -x -p /opt/mqm |
to set the primary MQ installation?

No.
