Hi

I wrapped the java cache methodes in ESQL functions to access the global cache from ESQL
It worked well with some simple parameters.

In addition, I want to save in the cache a rounting table from my DB.
I tried to pass it as a reference type and it did not work
the info center here:

http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v8r0m0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.etools.mft.doc%2Fbc23770_.htm

says that only java primitive types can be keys or values in the global cache

Does anyone know of a way to do it?

thanks

You could serialize the routing table as XML into a blob and cache that (cast into CHAR, of course).

Don't do it.

The proper way is to traverse the routing table and put each entry in the cache separately.

you have to serialize your data into probably a string complete with delimiters so that you can reconstruct it again on the way out.

There are a number of posts by me on this subject that were made in the past 2 months. It will be worth you taking a look at them.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
