Hi,
Prior to my joining in the company, Previous employee migrated all the MQ components from server1 to server2.
The issue is that two of the channels are misisng on server1 due to which there is no communication with main frame boxes.
version is 5.3 on both the servers
Please assist me in this regard? |

Recreate the needed channels manually.
Immediately create a migration plan. WMQv5.3 is seriously out of date, out of support and your client is taking a huge business risk using it (which they need to be aware of). _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

For creating channels, what are the necessary steps to be taken without affecting other channels? |

Create the channels with proper regard to the configuration of your network and the instructions for creating channels.
Basically, do the job right and you'll be fine. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

If you are concerned you don't know how to create channels, without affecting other channels, I seriously suggest you push your management to provide training for you because it's unfair of your management to expect you to manage something of which you have little or no understanding.
Also, just out of curiosity, what platform are you using? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
