Hi Everyone!
Just looking for some advice on WMQ AMS; the complicated questions will be forthcoming
Currently I am planning a WMQ AMS install for our JMS application that uses WAS 8.5, and connects to MQ 7.1 in client mode. We purchased the WMQ AMS 7.0 license a few months ago.
(1) What is the difference between installing MQ AMS 7.0 with MQ 7.1, and installing the WMQ AMS that is (separately I think) licensed with MQ 7.5?
a. Is the installation of WMQ AMS with MQ 7.5 simpler? (I did see Vitor’s post that AMS is a separate install from MQ.)
(2) Would it be better in the long run to upgrade our MQ servers to 7.5 and apply the corresponding MQ AMS, while retaining the WAS at 8.5 (internal MQ RA 7.1)? (We will not upgrade WAS again for a while!)

I would go for 7.5, it was specifically a re-packaging release to make install and future maintenance of the MQ Base, MQ AMS and MQ MFT easier... _________________ Michael
