Wanted to know if there is a way to enable mqsi tracing capabilities to developers w/o adding them into mqm & mqbrkrs group. Broker version is 8 and mq is 7.5 on linux. The developers have full access to their EGs and can turn on/off the trace using Explorer or CMP

We have a generic id that has sudo access to many mqsi admin type tools.

We then have to sudo over to that generic id to run these commands.

Our admins set it up this way because then they only had to worry about configuring one id to handle all the admin tasks. It also meant all they have to do to grant/deny access to these commands is allow various users sudo access to the generic id.

Thank you for the responses.

using sudo to mqsi-trace commands should do the trick @ mqsi level

But if using mq-explorer/CMP, can a user be setup to trace (using setmqauts) if the channel uses a non-admin mca user?
