Hi All,
We have a prod issue and we would like to check when a MQ Fixpack was installed on a Windows server, is their someway I could be sure on that by looking at some file. MQ version 7.0.1.6 is the version, we just want to know which date it was installed.
Thanks |

Does the readme.txt still get updated when you apply a fix pack? Back in the day it used to, but that was a few versions ago.... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Look at the creation date of the %WMQ_FILE_PATH%/Maint_1.nn directory where the previous installation level files should be stored. That should give you a reasonably accurate date. Better still, your change management process will tell you because in Prod it must have needed a change, surely? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Thanks exerc - yes looks like the date in C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Maint_1.6 was the correct on when files were updated, the change was in 2011 so bit of effort to dot down the change, the inhouse tool GSDR12 is not vert affective for such a big bank.
Thanks for the help
Thanks Vitor, the Readmes also gets updated still, it matches with date as Maint folder. |
