GMTTIME - Use Google. Your answer is in the InfoCentre. You must be responsible for your own work. Don't ask other people to do it for you.

Hi friends,

The UK timestamp is equivalent to GMT +1 hour. I have taken the CURRENT_GMTTIMESTAMP and added 1 hour interval as "CURRENT_GMTTIMESTAMP + INTERVAL '1' HOUR".
But this is not equivalent to UK local time zone.
Can any one please guide me how to solve this.

LOOK IT UP. THATS WHAT DOCUMENTATION IS FOR. DO YOUR OWN WORK. QUIT ASKING PEOPLE TO USE GOOGLE FOR YOU.

What do you think is 'UK Local Time'?

Can we have an example of what you mean?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Tibor - so every time our friend Sam needs to look up something in the InfoCentre, will you be his gopher? Of what use is it to provide a Google search for him? Is he not capable of doing his own work?

It seems to be "that time of year" again, when a bunch of freshers get jobs and have no clue how to do the job they are getting paid for.

I am trying to help you.

I am trying to help you understand that you need to go off and do your own learning.

This is not at teaching place. This is twice as poor a place for people who want teaching but then refuse to learn.

The regulations define a "specialty occupation" as requiring theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge in a field of human endeavor. If they don't know how to use Google, I'm not sure how long their status will hold up under scrutiny.

Agree. But I am a teacher somewhere inside, who believes, some of them might be a real MQ / MB expert once...

Then help them achieve that. Achieving that does not include posting requests for Google lookups on mqseries.net.

Give them your email address if you have the patience and want to be their master. Indentured servitude is a form of debt bondage.
