Does anyone know when the new release of WMQI is coming out?
Also is there a current link to anywhere which gives a run-down of the new features.
I am interested in whther the new eclipse tool is being bundled and also whther the SOAP supportpace stuff has been put into the main product.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

There has been no announcement of a new version.
Until then, the only official information available is the technical preview of the Eclipse tooling - and that is clearly marked 'Subject to Change'. |

I don't work for IBM, but based on a pre-release demo that we had, it would seem some or all of these will be in it:
WMQI v5 uses the Eclipse tooling (WMQI solution studio)
Support for WSDL and SOAP as standard.
ESQL enhancements such as referring to procedures stored outside compute nodes and better editor for ESQL.
External version control product support.
XML Schema based message model.
New mapping editor.
Enhancing debugging - eg developers broker sandbox on control center PC.
Configurable deployment.
Broker Admin console.
Migration is provided from WMQI 2.1
The release date should be fairly soon.
Those in the UK can see a demo on May 27-28 at Bedfont Lakes as part of the Websphere Technical Briefing. |

To clear up your confusion, the products announced on http://www.ibmlink.ibm.com/usalets&parms=H_203-136 are the replacements (as you called it) to the WMQI V2.1 product range. It seems that it has gone through a Name variation and version number change probably to bring it in line with the other Websphere Integration products available. If you recall, for WMQI V2.1 there were several "flavours" of this product which were Integrator, Integrator Broker and Event Broker. The Integrator Broker did not include the New Era Rules and Format capability. From the announcement letter these different flavours are still available, but as I understand it the Message Broker is equivalent to Integrator Broker (WMQI-B V2.1), and there is a Message Broker with the New Era Rules and Format Extension which is equivalent to Integrator V2.1 (WMQI V2.1) _________________ Regards
