In the case of Windows, somewhere in Program Files or Program Files (x86) depending on bit-ness. For the UNIX platforms, /var/mqm, /opt/mqm, or /usr/mqm. Solaris zones, I don't know.
Bear in mind that if using WMQ V7.1 upward, or on Windows generally, the default location is whatever you care to make it.
